Practice Areas
Patent Preparation and Prosecution
This is the primary practice. I draft and prosecute patent applications for companies whose products are built by engineers, and I read the disclosure the way an engineer reads it — starting with how the system actually works, not with how it can be described.
Work includes application drafting, prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, office action responses, appeals to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and coordination of foreign filings through local counsel in the relevant jurisdictions.
USPTO practice is federal. The firm represents clients in patent matters nationwide, regardless of where the client is located.

Business Restructuring and IP in Distress
This is a narrow capability rather than a general bankruptcy practice. It exists because intellectual property in a distressed company raises questions that sit between technology and the Bankruptcy Code, and those questions are often handled by counsel who work on only one side of that line.
The firm represents creditors, performs intellectual property and technology asset diligence in Section 363 sales, analyzes license assumption and rejection under Section 365, reviews executory contracts, prepares proofs of claim, and serves as co-counsel or special intellectual property counsel in Chapter 11 and Subchapter V matters.
